Lina Inverse is the vertically challenged and continually reminded about her small breasts (thanks to Gourry) sorceress star of Slayers. She is introduced in Slayers episode one. She has a sister, Luna, who she is deathly afraid of, and she is also afraid of slugs. Yes, slugs. The mighty Lina Inverse is afraid of creatures that are oh so squishy.

Lina has a short temper. You get on her bad side, you get fireballed. Period. Or pummeled. One of the two. Gourry is the one who most often gets this treatment. In the series, Lina destroys a piece of Lord Ruby-Eye, several Mazoku, Koppi Rezo, Hellmaster Phibrizzo (though it was actually L-sama working through her), and Dark Star, a Dark Lord from another world. Often Mazoku either try to get Lina to join them (some Mazoku collect powerful people), or they try to kill her. Do they succeed? Obviously not.

On to fears, then. Why IS Lina afraid of Luna? Well, besides the fact that she's really powerful (being a Knight of Ceipheed), Lina projected an image of her bathing and charged people to see it. This made Luna mad. And if you think it's bad getting Lina Inverse angry, you do not know the wrath of an angry older sister with the power of the Flare Dragon God. Lina is so scared of Luna that when she got a letter from her, the first thing she did was build a pyramid complete with sarcophogus and bury herself far under the earth. And then, there are the slugs. Lina is so scared of the slimy beasts that when she saw them in a dungeon, she ran around the room screaming (when there was one on top of her), and then ran to Gourry and clung to him, sobbing hysterically, until they were teleported out of the room. Keep in mind that these were no ordinary slugs. They were the large-and-in-charge kind, so that would definately amplify her fear of them.

Lina is the only one in Slayers who can cast Nightmare magic. This is the type of magic that calls upon the Dark Lord of all Dark Lords, the Lord of Nightmares. The two spells she casts that call upon the power of L-sama are the Giga Slave and the Laguna Blade. Lina sealed the Giga Slave after NEXT, because if the person casting the spell loses control of it, it can return the world to chaos. The Laguna Blade is a powerful spell, not as strong as the Giga Slave, but still powerful. Lina needs to use the Demon Blood Talismans that she obtained from Xelloss to cast this spell. The Laguna Blade is capable of slicing through dimensions to destroy Mazoku trying to escape by teleporting. Lina can also cast the Dragon Slave, the most powerful spell which calls upon the power of Lord Ruby-Eye. It's capable of destroying entire villages, Dragons, Mazoku, and bandits. Along with these powerful spells, she can cast elemental Shamanist spells, though she never casts any Spirit Shamanism.

All in all, Lina is a very good person to have on one's side. She's incredible with magic, and along with that can even throw a decent punch or kick. She is also good with a sword, so if for some reason she can't use her magic, she can rely on physical fighting (unless she were fighting a Mazoku, in which case she'd probably be screwed). And she doesn't use her skills just on her enemies. She's kicked or punched everyone on her team at least once, hence the name "The Enemy of All Who Live." Not just "The Enemy of Bandits." No one is safe from her. But she can also be nice... sometimes.
